How do I become a black belt?

You may put your newly found skills and fitness to the test at a 'grading', which are held every three months. Novice grades are tested by a grading panel led by local man Master Culbert (5th Dan), while black belt grades are tested by our Korean Chief Instructor, Master TW Shin (8th Dan) who is the highest black belt in the UK.

Grades go from the beginner's grade of 10th Kup White Belt – meaning innocence, having no previous knowledge of Taekwondo through to different levels of black belt 'Dan' grades signifying maturity and proficiency in Taekwondo and who have an imperviousness to darkness and fear.
